Rob Landale
Aged Care Royal Commission and proposed changes

Rob will cover the main recommendations of the Royal Commission into Aged Care. Some of the recommendations are being implemented over the next couple of years.  He will also cover background information on the aged care sector such as fee structure, government funding, demographics and other key factors that affect the residential aged care sector.

Rob Landale completed a Bachelor of Commerce at Deakin University.  He has had a career in farming in the Riverina area for 40 years up until the sale of the farm in 2018. During this time, he had a break from farming and had a 3-year stint as a mortgage broker with Premier One, then 4 years as a financial planner with a Hillross franchise prior to commencing his current role as an accountant with STS Accounting Group.

Rob’s interest in the aged care sector followed the experience of his mother joining the aged care system in 2019. The poor reputation and the complexity of the aged care system prompted him to concentrate on understanding the industry, and he now provides information for those people considering options for entering residential aged care.

Rob has previously been a member of Euroa Rotary and was involved in starting the Ride The Ranges bike ride, now a significant fundraiser for the club. He has six children, three grandchildren and his interests include bushwalking, Blaze Aid, golf and flyfishing.
