Meeting was opened by President Warwick at 7.30am, ably assisted by a specially selected choir under the baton of Gerard.

Announcements: 
  • Roger Thornton reminded everyone to respond with RSVP re family BBQ by 4th February
  • Peter Duras thanked all for BBQ fund raiser efforts to date with a new record over $1100 raised on Sunday at Collingwood. Five more dates are coming at Collingwood so stay tuned for more details and please volunteer quickly.
 
President's announcements:
  • An informal meeting will be held 7 January with first official meeting in 2020 on 14 January
  • Birthdays, wedding anniversaries and Rotary anniversaries were acknowledged with special mention to Tom and Ann Callander [18 Dec], and Pauline and Frank O'Brien [10 Jan] for their Golden Wedding anniversaries
 
Christmas Hamper Project:
Rohan Williams formally presented hampers to Lentara Uniting Asylum Seeker Program and Steps Outreach for Youth with thanks given by representatives of both organisations and acknowledging our club's continuing support over the past 18 years.
 
Rohan also thanked members for their contribution of hampers, with special mention of Alison who assisted with cost savings for donors and coordination of the project.  [Editor:  You will have to count the hampers in GALLERY below] 
 
Christmas celebrations and good fellowship:
  • Australian themed songs and Christmas carols sung by all
  • Santa visited in casual attire with helper Elves 
  • Mary Voice produced a testing and wide-ranging quiz questions for all tables.
