Is it Solar Enery's Time to Shine

The game-changer in sustainable solar energy has always been affordable and reliable batter storage and there is enough evidence now to suggest that the game is indeed changing. New technologies and economies of scale have put hassle-free battery storage on the same downward price curve as has seen the price of roof-top solar panels plummet over the last 5 years.

As things stand, utilities have an incentive to invest in a big distribution network, given they are able to charge a fixed rate of return on investment. But John Grimes, CEO of the Australian Solar Council, says battery storage is changing rapidly and paired with intelligent electronic management systems, it will change the dynamic of how power is used and sold.
